I read an article (do not remember the source), in which Ravan is educating Shree Ram about his learnings from life.
Ravan says to Ram: "Things that are bad to you seduce you easily you run towards them impatiently. But things that are actually good for you, fail to attract you; you shun them creatively, finding powerful excuses to justify your procrastination."
I always find excuses (creatives ones) of not having enough time to work on my resolutions, but on introspection and deep thought on how time has been invested or spent on various activities, I realize that I have wasted most of my time in doing unnecessary activities e.g watching IPL matches on TV, watching movies on TV, etc. I should rather spend time in meditating, exercising OR reading good spiritual books than watch movies (almost 3 hours wasted per movie) OR watch an IPL match (3.5 hours wasted - not to forget the unnecessary talks after the end of the match)
Well...really appreciate the example reference to the learning shared and good to know we have same perspective to look at the data list i have populated here...we have to be aware of the status we are in since sometime now...we know the problems but cant do anything about it?? helpless?? not having enough self-control to do things we want to do...
all these words, we have said a thousand times...but action makes difference is what we end saying everytime..the only end i see to this discussion is proven result of what we have done over a period of time...we are beyond words now
