'Losing the individuality'

Progress is from seen to unseen, from many to one, from low to high, from form to formless & never in reverse direction.

Its like one and many are the same but are perceived differently at different times. God is both with form & without form and he is that which includes both form & formlessness.

As different streams having their sources in different places all mingle their water in the sea, so hey prabhu , the different paths which men take through their tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to thee.

Consciousness is only the surface of mental ocean & within its depths are stored our experiences. Try & struggle, they would come and you would be conscious even of your past life.

Natural Instincts

They are very thrilling and not always in line with liking...yet natural instincts come from within but still not sure from where they originate..Thinking originates from brain whereas likings originate from Mind and hence from the nature of the person but what about natural instincts?
While i say it as natural instincts, it is also called eternal voice/ voice of soul by many wise people.

Its all in the Mind

Whenever faced with an unfortunate situation/incident in life, we wonder how far are we from the happiness rather inherent happiness. Instead of getting bogged down under the circumstances , try to remember the moments when u were really happy. Recollect those instances and try to analyze what exactly in them made you feel so. I have a opinion that it is our mind which makes us happy/unhappy about a particular incident/situation. It is due to our mind's susceptibility to a particular incident/person/situation in life that makes us happy/unhappy accordingly. Sages in Bharat have rightly signified 'mind control' in human life to reduce mind's susceptibility to such conditions. these scriptures did not reach out to rest of the world due to language barriers. Translating them into other languages without changing the deep thought put in by the sages in them is a task in itself.
Bottomline is Mind-gym is as important as its other counterparts although it is a big miss in today's society, unfortunately it is a miss in Bhartiya society(atleast the one in which i live) as well.
Wish all readers spiritual awareness & healthy workouts in mind-gym.

Timeline – A Broader View

Well...so here it is…the boundaries of TIME. Recently, I happened to study some TIME definitions in Hindu Upanishads.

‘Yug’ is a Hindi word and is used as measurement of time in Hindu religion.
There are four ‘Yug’ defined viz:
1. Krit Yug = 432000 x 4 = ‘A ‘ years
2. Treta Yug = 432000 x 3 = ‘B’ years
3. Dwapar Yug = 432000 x 2 = ‘C’ years
4. Kali Yug (Ongoing) = 432000 x 1 = ‘D’ years

A + B + C + D = 4320000 years = 1 Maha Yug
And such 71 Maha Yug = 1 Manvantar

Between 2 Manvantar’s there is a gap of years equivalent to those in ‘Krit Yug’ i.e. 432000 x 4 = 1728000 years. ‘Jal Pralay’ (which means total destruction on earth where in the whole earth is covered under water) happens in this period.

1 Kalp = 14 Manvantar’s + 14 gap years equivalent to ‘Krit Yug’
= 4294080000 + 25920000
= 4320000000 years = 1000 Maha Yug

These 1000 Mahayug years or 1 Kalp is nothing but 1 day for God Bramha. And after having this day, there is night which is equally long.

Life span of God Bramha:
God Bramha life-span is 100 years (having the days as described above).
100 Bramha Years = 1 Maha Kalp

Pundits believe that this is 1st day of 51st year of God Bramha’s life.
